...proclaiming the Kingdom of God through a Renewal of Catholic culture

Our Lady of Walsingham
Institutes of Catholic Culture Studies

“There is no faithfulness or kindness and no knowledge of God in the land…
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..."
Hosea 4:1, 4:6

In response to the call of Pope John Paul II for “a clearly conceived, serious and
well-organized effort to evangelize culture”
1 parishioners of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church developed and implemented specific educational and cultural enrichment programs.  This effort has resulted in the establishment of the “Our Lady of Walsingham Institutes of Catholic Culture Studies.”

The goal of our lay-initiated organization is to rediscover and to communicate the cultural traditions and intellectual heritage of the Roman Catholic Church. To accomplish this, we sponsor a variety of educational and literary programs, lectures, forums, and conferences.

Through the dissemination of these long-neglected, half-forgotten treasures of the Catholic Church, we seek to kindle a spiritual and intellectual renewal of the American culture. “The whole history of culture shows that man has a natural tendency to seek a religious foundation for his social way of life and that when culture loses its spiritual basis it becomes unstable.”2
